Games magazine Brazil: Interview with Patricia Souto Rial at ICE 2025

1) What news/releases are you bringing to ICE Barcelona 2025?
At ICE we are showcasing our complete portfolio of gaming hardware platform and software solutions at our stand. We have solutions suited to all markets and budgets. Whether that’s powerful and cost effective, or the highest performing platforms we have the solutions you need to succeed. At G2E this October just passed, we launched our IQ Connect 1 and QMAX 3 to the North American market, and ICE Barcelona has been the debut in the European market.
Attending ICE is a key opportunity for us to engage with industry leaders, and gather feedback and insights from the market, which is crucial, and is used to shape the future of our hardware and software portfolio to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the mark.
We have additional releases and updates planned for the second half of this year, so stay tuned to discover the revolutionary innovations coming from Quixant.
2) How do you see this huge edition of ICE now being held in Barcelona?
This year’s ICE event in Barcelona marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, offering the perfect opportunity for meeting and networking with existing and prospective customers. It opens up a world of possibilities and partnerships to explore. As a key event in our calendar, it provides us with the opportunity to experience the latest trends shaping the gaming industry and stay ahead of the curve. Speaking with our customers and partners, we know there is a lot of excitement towards the show in its new home, and we look forward to being a part of its first edition, and to continue supporting the industry in this pivotal era.
3) What plans and objectives does your company have for LatAm and Brazil in these first months of the year?
Latin America is a key region for Quixant, and Brazil will be the crown jewel of the region’s gaming market once the land-based legal framework is fully regulated. Over the past two years, we have been focused on ensuring our business is fully prepared to support our customers and the additional demand and complexities involved with the legalisation of gaming in Brazil – we appreciate it will require additional resources and operations to enable a successful gaming market. We are confident that the time for this growth phase has arrived.
Behind the scenes, we have been diligently preparing—developing teams, structures, and a portfolio of solutions tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Brazilian market. To support this growth, Quixant has partnered with Novatrade to enhance its operations and accelerate market entry. This collaboration allows for local stockholding in Brazil, reducing import costs, and streamlining the purchasing process.

4) What do you think will be the main technological trends in your sector for 2025?
Unprecedented transformations in sustainability are on the horizon, with several technology trends poised to shape the future of gaming and beyond. These include the use of AI for customer service solutions, advanced security features to protect customers’ intellectual property, and enhanced graphics capabilities.
However, while these technological advancements are exciting, the true value lies not in the technology itself, but in the real-world applications and the effectiveness of the solutions they offer to customers.
A significant trend reshaping the gaming industry is the movement from online platforms to land-based gaming. Developers are increasingly focused on adapting their online games for physical slot machines, creating new opportunities for immersive gameplay in the land-based arena.
In some markets, demand for larger gaming machines is also on the rise, with 55-inch displays becoming a preference for many game manufacturers. This trend drives the need for sharper, high-resolution content and more sophisticated hardware to support the scale and interactivity these larger screens demand.
These developments highlight the need for advanced display technologies, robust hardware, and expert consultation to capitalize on the evolving market dynamics, which at the core of our ethos. 5) What is your events plan to support the region in the first half of 2025?
In addition to our engagements at ICE, we are excited to announce our presence at SIGMA Brazil this April. We are looking forward to connecting with our customers and partners, exchanging insights, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. This event provides the perfect platform for us to strengthen relationships, showcase our latest innovations, and discuss how we can continue to support the growth of the gaming industry in Brazil and beyond.
