G3 Quixant podcast: Looking ahead to G2E, industry trends and roadmap innovation
Tune in to the latest Pulse podcast, where Quixant’s VP of Marketing and Communications, Annalisa Bloss, joins G3’s Managing Director, Lewis Pek. Together, they discuss Quixant’s upcoming hardware and software innovations set to debut at the G2E exhibition.
G2E is a short few weeks away, what’s been Quixant’s mission in 2024 and how does this align with your presence in Vegas?
At Quixant, our mission is to help our customers create the best games. That’s all we’re about. So that means continuing to enhance our products. It means developing products with an increasing focus on power, performance, reliability and flexibility. As the needs of the market continue to evolve, so do our products. And, most importantly, it’s about providing support and expertise to enable that journey.
G2E is an opportunity for us to bring that mission to life where we will be showcasing our latest innovative technology and connecting with industry leaders to understand how we can best support them in their number one mission – to create the best games.
What objectives do you have for the exhibition?
Our objectives are really, really simple. We are there to reconnect with our current partners and build new relationships, making sure that we’re always in tune with what the industry needs. This year at the show we are showcasing our latest products to a global gaming audience and highlighting how we can help them elevate their games. Importantly, we want to soak up lots of the industry insights, trends, and customer feedback. And we’ll use this to guide our future product development. G2E is our chance to show our commitment to the industry, to our customers, and to their ongoing success.
What can visitors expect to see on the Quixant booth?
Visitors to our booth can expect to meet a wide range of technical and development experts from the Quixant team who’ve got years of experience working in the gaming field. And they are there to talk to customers, to talk to prospects and the wider industry and discuss their current challenges. Support and expertise are at the heart of the Quixant offering – it’s what makes Quixant different.
What specifically can you reveal about the new hardware solutions from Quixant – and software support?
Our hardware solutions range from the cost -effective IQ products to the higher performing and more versatile IQON series, all the way to maximum power, maximum performance, QMAX range. They come with a variety of speed, power, and performance options, providing the customisation, efficiency, and all of the puzzle pieces you need to develop the best games. So whichever platform they choose and whichever processor that may have, integration support is what enables them to deliver the ultimate results with their games.
For us, gaming is all we do. It is our purpose and we are focused fully on helping developers achieve their goals. So, whether it’s AMD, Intel, a high performance or a more cost-effective solution, we offer a range of solutions, and we are here to support clients throughout their game development journey, to launch and beyond. In terms of software, the Quixant Software Suite is key to us and I think it’s unique in terms of what we offer. It comes with all of our hardware platforms as standard and it’s designed exclusively with gaming in mind to help developers ease that process, simplify game development and deployment, and improve the performance of the hardware that they already own.
So whether it’s power and performance or security and regulatory compliance, there’s a range of solutions that are ready out-of-the-box that help them deliver more from their hardware platforms. It allows our customers to cut the cost of game design, to focus more on creativity and not on technical aspects, so they can get to market faster and deliver the best games.
What trends are you picking up from the industry right now?
There is a push for bigger, better, more immersive interactive gaming experiences, which is being driven by advancements in technology; graphics, displays, AI and player engagement technology.
Everyone is competing to deliver the biggest, best games. They want to draw people in, they want to keep their attention, and they want them to keep coming back again and again. And that’s where next -gen technology really comes into play. It allows developers to concentrate on exactly that. They don’t need to spend their time on developing this technology in-house. We supply the out-of-the-box solutions, so they can outsource with confidence and get the support that they need.
We also know the economic environment right now is tough for gaming. So it’s no surprise that everyone is trying to deliver more for less, which is where Quixant is supporting the industry. We focus on the quality of our products, including reliability, power, performance, and we never compromise on those aspects. We are listening to the market and our customers to remain relevant and offer products at price points that meet market needs.
What can you share about Quixant’s forthcoming developments?
I can’t spill the beans completely just yet, however, I can say that we’re working on some really, really exciting advancements, which will keep us at the forefront of the gaming industry. We’re delving into new technologies. We are developing even more options for our customers. And it’s all about increasing the value that we can offer our customers. So right now, we are investing in teams, we’re investing in technology, and we’re investing in systems and infrastructure.
We will share more on these projects as they come to life, but what I can say now is to expect to see the latest and greatest at the Quixant booth at G2E 2024 in Las Vegas. And I promise to share more regarding the roadmap as we head into 2025 and ICE Barcelona.
